Intervention Model for Orphan’s Emotional and Behavioral Problems: A Scoping Review

BACKGROUND: As many as, 45% of orphaned children and adolescents living in orphanages experience behavioral emotional problems. Several literature reviews on the intervention problems orphan have been widely conducted. However, there is paucity problem interventions group based type approach used published articles. AIM: This study aimed to synthesize results aged 7–20 years who live institutions or orphanages. METHODS: research was a scoping review. review three databases comprising PubMed, Science Direct, Wiley Library Online. The inclusion criteria were experimental designs cohort studies, 2009–2019, discussed problem’s orphan, written English. exclusion that subjects had severe mental psychosocial disorders such as autism, retardation, disorders. authors categories keywords; first keyword its synonym “intervention, treatment.” second focused problems, which “behavioral difficulties,” third focuses population place, “orphan, orphans, orphanages.” article selection stage described detail flow diagram Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis. critical appraisal checklist from Joanna Briggs Institute. RESULTS: Ten articles found selected main experienced by include depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, feelings anger, trauma.
